Ordering from Europe, honestly

A third of the orders leave the United States, and almost all the questions about them are the same three. Here they are, answered the way I would answer them by email.
What you pay at checkout
$9 flat, anywhere I ship, and free over $70. That is the same for an order going to the next street in Austin and one going to Lisbon. There is no separate international rate, no weight bands, no surprise at the last step.
What customs takes after that
This is the part nobody enjoys writing about, so I will be direct: outside the United States I cannot pre-pay your local import VAT. Your carrier collects it on delivery, and the amount depends on your country, not on me.
In the European Union there is no customs duty below €150 of goods — only VAT. On a $50 tee that usually means a small bill from the courier before they hand the parcel over. I would rather you know that now than discover it at the door.
I could hide the number in a shipping page nobody reads. I would rather you order knowing exactly what lands on the doormat.
How long it actually takes
Everything is printed after you order, so there is a production window before anything ships. Once it is on its way: 3 to 5 days in the United States, 7 to 12 days worldwide, tracked door to door from Austin.
Tracking often sits still for a day or two after it is created, then jumps four steps at once. If nothing has moved after five working days, reply to your shipping email and I will chase the carrier myself.
